TThe Sixteenth Finance Commission (16th FC) visited the State of Karnataka between 29-30 August, 2024. The Commission met with various stakeholders and heard their views on specific issues pertaining to the State. The first meeting of the Commission was with the Government of Karnataka led by the Hon’ble Chief Minister. The Commission also met with representatives of Urban Local Bodies, Panchayati Raj Institutions, members of the Industry/Trade, Commerce and the representatives of the various political parties.
